MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song for the year 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year he joined Ozuna on the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina that year. Later in 2021, he performed on a duet TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a musical family, his older brother and mother are both musicians. In interviews, he referred to the importance of music as a requirement. When he was a kid he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. His initial goal was becoming a vet, His brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher. The end outcome of discovering his talents as a performer changed his entire life.
